We’re looking for an AI Engineer to bring intelligent automation and agents to life. As our first dedicated AI hire, you’ll lead the charge in designing and deploying AI-powered solutions that enhance how buildings are monitored, maintained, and managed.
You’ll work closely with our product, engineering, and data teams to build smart agents, integrate Large Language Models (LLMs), and turn real-world facility data into real-time intelligence. What will you be doing
- Design and deploy AI agents – Build intelligent, task-driven agents that can reason, act, and assist both internal teams and end-users.
- Integrate LLMs – Make facility data actionable using the latest in generative AI, semantic search, and natural language understanding.
- Collaborate on data structuring – Partner with our Data Engineer to ensure data is LLM- and AI-ready.
- Develop smart, embedded AI features – Embed AI directly into the FixForm platform to make our product more proactive, helpful, and human-friendly.
- Stay hands-on with research and development – Explore new models, evaluate open-source tools, and run small-scale experiments to stay ahead of the curve.
- Implement AI best practices – Set standards for safety, performance, observability, and ethical use of AI.
About you
- Experienced in applied AI – You’ve built and deployed intelligent systems, from LLM-backed prototypes to production-grade models.
- Skilled with agents & automation – You’re comfortable working with AI agents, orchestration frameworks, and prompt engineering.
- Startup mindset – You’re scrappy, adaptable, and love having ownership in a fast-paced, early-stage environment.
- Product-oriented – You think about the user, not just the model. You build AI that’s actually useful.
- Collaborative – You love working cross-functionally with product, data, and engineering teams.
- Curious & pragmatic – You ask the right questions, focus on impact, and avoid over-engineering.
Technical skills
💡 Must-Have:
- Strong experience with Python & AI frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face, etc.)
- Familiarity with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral, open-source models)
- Experience with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) (RAG), semantic search, and embeddings
- Understanding of vector databases (Weaviate, Pinecone, or FAISS)
- Experience with agent frameworks (AutoGPT, CrewAI, or similar)
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and MLOps practices
✨ Bonus Points for:
- Experience with Laravel (PHP) and VueJs (JavaScript).
- A passion for facility tech, proptech, or IoT.
